Former Manchester United goalkeeper, David De Gea has been without a club for the past six months following the expiration of his contract at Old Trafford.
The manager of Newcastle United, Eddie Howe has cleared the air about the possibility of bringing the player to Saint James' Park following the current situation of Nick Pope who has been ruled out for four months. According to him, no request has been made for De Gea despite the rumours linking him to the Magpies.
"We have not made any enquiries despite links. We believe in Martin Dubravka. I have always had that high opinion of him. Martin is a high-class goalkeeper”.
There are reports that De Gea could be heading to Barcelona, he is currently a free agent and he could be snapped up by any club at any time.
