Chelsea's legend, Didier Drogba has reacted to the form of the Blues since Todd Boehly took over the ownership of the club.
The Ivorian was speaking with Canal+ after Chelsea's elimination from the UEFA Champions by defending Champions, Real Madrid. According to him, this current team does not have leaders that can lead and win football matches by themselves.
It’s no longer the same club. There is a new owner and a new vision. Of course, we try to compare it with what happened during the Abramovich era where a lot of players were brought in, but the decisions were very intelligent. They lack charismatic leaders. You need players that take on the game, that assume their responsibilities. You need a player that brings a bit of madness to the stadium.
The former Blues striker joined the club during the summer transfer window in 2004 till 2012. He made a return to Stamford Bridge during the 2014 /15 season where he won the league under Jose Mourinho. Drogba will forever remain a legend at Chelsea and he will mostly be remembered as the player that won the club its first UEFA Champions League title during the 2011/12 football season.
