The supporters of Brighton and Hove Albion were in the seventh heaven when the club confirmed the arrival of Ansu Fati on a loan deal.
The Seagulls announced the arrival of the Spanaird on the deadline day of the 2023 summer transfer window on Friday, September 1, 2023. The 20-year-old made 36 La Liga appearances last season for Barca, helping Barcelona win their first title for four years.
Brighton's head coach, Roberto De Zerbi was happy with the deal and looked forward to working with Ansu Fati.
"This is a great deal for all of us. I am sure Ansu will help us to reach a new target and we can help him get back at the level he deserves to be.”
In September 2019 he became Barcelona’s youngest Champions League player and his goal against Inter Milan in December 2019 made him the youngest player to score a goal in Champions League history. He finished the 2019/20 season having made 33 appearances and scoring eight goals.
