With numerous concerns about how many players would be fit ahead of the tournament were in circulation as players like Kovacic had been missing in action for his club side Chelsea, but the release of the list shows just how compact, experienced and formidable the Croatian side is ahead of the competition in Qatar. Croatia's first fixture of the competition would be against Morocco on the 23rd of November 2022.
This might be the last World Cup outing for captain Luka Modric who has surpassed the age of 30, but he might defy the odds and still represent on the biggest stage again.
