Manchester United forward player, Cristiano Ronaldo has apologised for his recent outburst in his team's defeat against Everton.

The Portuguese star smashed the phone of a young Everton fan who was in the stands after the game at the Goodison Park on Saturday, April 9th, 2022. Ronaldo took to his official Instagram account to apologise for his bad conduct to the Everton fan.

It's never easy to deal with emotions in difficult moments such as the one we are facing. Nevertheless, we always have to be respectful, patient and set the example for all the youngsters who love the beautiful game. I would like to apologize for my outburst and, if possible, I would like to invite this supporter to watch a game at Old Trafford as a sign of fair play and sportsmanship.

Manchester United have been in bad form in recent weeks and this might be a big blow to the Red Devils' quest to reach in the UEFA Champions League spot. They are currently placed seventh in the Premier League table with 51 points after playing 31 games.
