A brace from Vinicius Jnr and a goal each from Savinho and Lucas Paqueta was enough to see Brazil get their first win at the ongoing 2024 Copa America in the game vs Paraguay.
The Samba Boys reinstated the belief of their supporters after their disappointing result against Costa Rica in the opening game of the 2024 Copa America.
Brazil took the lead in the 30th minute when they were awarded a penalty for handball following Lucas Paqueta's shot from outside the box, but the West Ham midfielder failed to score from the penalty spot. Paqueta made amends four minutes later when he played in Vinicius Jr. to score the opening goal of the game. Savinho doubled Brazil's lead just before the break with his first goal for Brazil when he scored from close range.
Vinicius Jr, grabbed his second goal and third for Brazil four minutes into first-half stoppage time, to take a 3-0 scoreline into the half-time break. Paqueta was given an opportunity to right his wrongs in the 65th minute as he made it 4-0 from the penalty spot.
In the other group game, Colombia continued their impressive start to the competition with a 3-0 win against Costa Rica. Brazil face Colombia in their group game while Paraguay face Costa Rica.
