Copa America: Lionel Messi and Argentina lift Copa America trophy | Highlights

The Copa America final between Argentina and Colombia was filled with a lot of drama on and off the pitch as the game was delayed for over an hour due to crowd control, according to reports from the local Police.

The game eventually started after 82 minutes of delay, the major highlight of the game was an injury to Lionel Messi which was a heartbreak for all of Argentina's supporters. However, Argentina went on to win the Copa America for the second successive time despite the injury to Messi.

Lisandro Martinez scored the only goal of the match in the 112th minute of the game which was enough to see the Argentines beat Colombia in the final of the Copa America.

Aston Villa's goalkeeper, Eminialo Martinez became the first in the history of the Copa America to concede just one goal. The goal was scored by Ecuador's Kevin Rodríguez in the quarter-final of the competition.

The victory now puts Messi as the most decorated player in the history of football by winning 45 trophies beating a record that was initially held by Dani Alves. Argentina are now the team with the most Copa America trophies (16) surpassing Uruguay who have won it 15 times.
