Cole Palmer settles the GOAT debate

Chelsea's midfielder, Cole Palmer is one of the latest players to join in the debate of who is the GOAT between Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo.

For many football fans, the GOAT debate ended when Messi led Argentina to the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar, but there is always a place for differing opinions from those who think otherwise. The England international was asked to pick who was the best player between Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi while he was at the PFA award ceremony on Tuesday, August 20, 2024.

Palmer picked Messi as the better of the two players after he was asked by the interviewer after the award ceremony.

This is not the first time that the midfielder has picked Messi ahead of Ronaldo, the last time he made that choice was while he was speaking in an interview with Sky Sports and he was asked the same question.

He said,

"The obvious one, Messi. Because of the way he plays and everything he's won, all the individual awards he has won. Just the best player ever. Messi is clear for me."

The debate would not be ending anytime soon as both players would continue to give football fans something to talk about as long as they are still in active football.
