One of Chelsea's in-form players Cole Palmer has explained his reason for leaving for treble-winners, Manchester City.
The captain of the U-21 England men's team was speaking in an interview during the international break ahead of the game against Serbia on Thursday, October 12, 2023. According to Cole Palmer, he decided to join Chelsea because he knew that he had better chances of breaking into the team than he did at Manchester City.
"It has surprised me a bit but I know my own ability, and I knew that if I hit the ground running I'd have a chance and obviously make an impact. That's why I went there. thought I could break in. I looked at the squad and there are a lot of players who went, not as many as people would have thought in terms of attackers."
He also spoke about how it has been difficult for him to adapt during his first few weeks at the club.
"It's been hectic but that's good, moving down there was a big change. I was in a hotel for a couple of weeks and then I got my own place. It is new and difficult, I don't know how to do most things on my own so I'm learning.''
