Chelsea according to reports are set to make a daring move to sign another goalkeeper as the June 2024 transfer window draws closer.

Chelsea is rumoured to be making efforts to finalize a deal for a new goalkeeper in the upcoming June 2024 transfer window, in preparation for the 2024/2025 club football season.

The Blues used two goalkeepers last season, Robert Sánchez and Dorđe Petrovic, but neither seemed entirely convincing since joining Stamford Bridge, so it's not surprising to see the club seeking a replacement.

Chelsea according to Team Talk, have reached out to Villarreal regarding goalkeeper Filip Jorgensen to explore the possibility of bringing him to the team this summer. While discussions are still in the early stages, Jorgensen is currently the top choice for the London side.

His exceptional performance last season, his ability to make crucial saves, and his comfort with the ball at his feet make him an ideal fit for Maresca’s system. However, Chelsea faces competition from Newcastle and Wolves, both of which are very interested in the Danish goalkeeper.

Jorgensen, who is 22 years old, signed a contract extension in 2022 and is committed for the next five years, but rumours are suggesting that he has a release clause of approximately £35 million. This makes him an attractive prospect for Chelsea as the club aims to comply with FFP laws and avoid potentially costly penalties in the future.
