Chelsea reportedly places a buy-out clause on Romelu Lukaku

Chelsea supporters can finally ease a sigh of relief following reports that the club have reached an agreement for Romelu Lukaku's release clause.

Transfer news expert, Fabrizio Romano confirmed the news on his official X account on Monday, October 9, 2023. According to him, Chelsea have fixed a buy-out clause of £37 million for Romelu Lukaku, the deal will be available from the summer transfer window in 2024.

The Belgian has been in fantastic form for Roma across all competitions having scored seven goals across all competitions. He joined the Serie A club from AS Roma during the 2023 summer transfer window for £8 million.

Lukaku is the second player to move to AS Romaf from Chelsea since Tammy Abraham joined the Serie A side during the 2021 summer transfer window. This will be the third time Jose Mourinho will manage Lukaku, the duo were together at Chelsea and Manchester United.
