Chelsea Football Club have reached an agreement with Brighton and Hove Albion for goalkeeper, Robert Sanchez.
The Blues are in search of a back up shot-stopper for Kepa Arrizabalaga following the exit of Edouard Mendy to Saudi Arabia. The Spanish international is now expected undergo a medical after a fee in the region of £25million ($31.7m) was agreed between the two clubs.
Sanchez has also agreed on personal deal with Chelsea and he is believed to be set to sign a long-term contract to keep him at Stamford Bridge.
The 25-year-old was impressive for Brighton at the start of the 2022/23 season but fell down the pecking order towards the end of the season under Roberto de Zerbi, he lost his place to Jason Steele.
Chelsea supporters will hope Sanchez can take over the position of Kepa who has been under scrutiny for the past few seasons following his mistakes in most games.
