The head coach of Chelsea Football Club, Enzo Maresca has given an update on Nicolas Jackson's injury situation ahead of the 2024/25 football season.
Enzo Maresca was speaking in a post-match press conference after the defeat against Real Madrid as the Blues pre-season tour in the United States of America officially came to an end. He also spoke about Cole Palmer and Marc Cucurella, who were also unavailable for Blues pre-season games because of their national team commitment during the Euro 2024, which saw both England and Spain play in the finals.
He said,
"We will see when they play not sure for Inter, but hopefully for the City game They are all important players. In terms of numbers, Cole and Nico scored almost 40 goals so they are both very important, and Marc too. The important thing is they start training with us, and soon we can use them.’'

Maresca confirmed that Palmer and Cucurella will participate in training at Cobham with the rest of the group on Friday, August 9, 2024. However, those travelling back from the States have a day off tomorrow to shake off jet lag after two-and-a-half weeks away.
Jackson was part of the team that travelled to the States but was left out of the games due to injury.
