Chelsea FC share new update on Reece James injury

Chelsea Football Club in an official statement have shared a new update with fans regarding the injury of the captain of the team, Reece James.

The statement which was shared today, Tuesday, December 12, 2023, confirmed that the England international has picked up a hamstring injury and would begin his rehabilitation towards recovery.

The official statement which served as an injury update of the player, to the dismay of fans did not confirm how long Reece James would be out of the squad for.

Reece James was substituted in the first half of Chelsea's woeful outing to Goodison Park which saw the Blues pick up their 7th defeat of the season.

The statement read, "Chelsea Football Club has today released the following statement about Reece James... Captain Reece James has undergone medical assessment following Sunday’s 2-0 defeat at Everton. The defender was withdrawn during the first half at Goodison Park, and scan results have confirmed a hamstring injury. Reece will now begin his rehabilitation programme at Cobham."
