Chelsea Football Club have completed the signing of a top Premier League goalkeeper from Brighton.
The Blues confirmed that they have signed Robert Sanchez less than a week before the start of the 2023/24 Premier League season. Chelsea needed a goalkeeper who will serve as a replacement for Edouard Mendy who recently made a move to Saudi Arabia.
Sanchez signed a long-term deal with the Stamford Bridge club, he is expected to stay with the Blues until the summer of 2030. The Spaniard international has 87 Premier League appearances under his belt during his days at Brighton.
Sanchez was in his best form during the 2021/22 campaign, he kept 11 clean sheets, a club record for the Seagulls in a single Premier League season.
The 25-year-old also helped Brighton reach the final of the FA Cup last season which they lost to Manchester United.
