The second-round fixtures of the Carabao Cup saw some interesting results as Tottenham Hotspurs' quest to win a title ended as they lost on penalties to Fulham.
The third-round draw gave football fans some mouth-watering fixtures with holders Manchester United and Crystal Palace while their noisy neighbours, Manchester City will face Newcastle United.
Chelsea was handed a tricky fixture against Brighton at Stamford Bridge, the draw saw another premier league fixture se Aston Villa host Everton at Villa Park. Some League Two clubs are remaining in the draw, such as Salford City, who beat Leeds in a shootout, and 2013 finalist Bradford City.
The third-round fixtures will be played commencing from September 25, 2023.
