Chelsea's interim manager, Bruno Saltor has addressed the press for the first time since his appointment by the hierarchy of the club.
Saltor was speaking at a press conference ahead of his first game which is against Liverpool at Stamford Bridge on Tuesday, April 4th, 2023. He confirmed that it has been a difficult 12 hours at the club since Potter was sacked but he is focused on bringing the best out of the players.
If I am here it's because club thought it was the right step. I spoke to the board, and they have been supportive. It's a massive challenge. I have a lot of experience, I will try to help players and I feel I can help the young players.
Chelsea confirmed in a statement that Saltor will be in charge of the club in the last ten league games and the UEFA Champions League games against Real Madrid.
