It is raining Gold for the Nigerian team on the tracks at the ongoing Commonwealth Games at Birmingham.

The quartet of Tobi Amusan, Favour Ofili, Rosemary Chukwuma and Grace Nwokocha finished in the first position in the final race of the Women's 4×100 meters relay. They achieved this feat on Sunday, August 7th, 2022 taking Nigeria's Gold tally to 11.
The Nigerians did not just win Gold but they also set a new African record of 42.10 seconds, this is Tobi Amusan's second Gold medal of the tournament.
There was also a podium finish for the Men's team in the final race of the 4×100 meters relay. The quartet of Udodi Onwuzurike, Favour Ashe, Alaba Akintola and Raymond Ekevwo won the bronze medal with a time of 38.81 seconds. The English finished in the first position while Trinidad and Tobago finished in the second position.
