Chelsea's defender, Ben Chilwell has sent a message to the supporters of the club concerning the Red Card he received against Real Madrid.
The Englishman was sent off in the second half of the game after he pulled back Rodrygo who was through on goal. This incident led to Chilwell writing a message on his official Twitter account. The Blues were defeated 2-0 with goals from Karim Benzema and Marco Asensio which makes the work in the second leg at Stamford Bridge a huge task.
Slept on it, and just want to apologize to my teammates and the fans. I decided in a split second last night and it was a mistake. I always give everything for the team and I will continue to do so. Thank you for the support.
Chilwell will not be part of the second-leg game. However, Chelsea supporters will hope that Marc Cucurella will be able to step in his place.
