Bayern Munich have confirmed that Joshua Kimmich will be out for the rest of the year because of Covid complications which have affected his lungs.

The news was confirmed on Bayern Munich's official Twitter account on Thursday, December 9th, 2021. Kimmich confirmed in October 2021 that he has not yet gotten the Covid vaccine, tested positive to the virus and his quarantine period ended on Wednesday, December 8th, 2021.
The 26-year-old has missed five games for Bayern Munich which includes defeat to Augsburg, victory against Armina Bielefeld and Borussia Dortmund in the Bundesliga. He also missed Champions League games against Dynamo Kiev and Barcelona.
