Barcelona Football Club will be without one of its first-team players, Robert Lewandowski ahead of the first El Classico of the season.
The Catalonia club released a statement on its official website on Thursday, October 5, 2023. Robert Lewandowski suffered an injury in the UEFA Champions League game away at Porto.
"Tests carried out this morning have revealed that Robert Lewandowski has a left ankle sprain. He is out and his recovery will determine his availability."
There are reports coming from Spain that the Polish striker could be out for at least three to four weeks. This means he will miss the games against Granada, and Athletico Bilbao and most likely miss the El Classico on Saturday, October 28, 2023.
However, Barcelona supporters will hope that Lewandowski is fit before they face Real Madrid.
