Barcelona Football Club have confirmed that they have reached an agreement in principle with Bayern Munich for the signing of Robert Lewandowski.

The news was confirmed on the official website of Barcelona on Saturday, July 16th, 2022. According to reports from the club, the deal will only be complete pending the player passing his medicals and the contract being signed.
The Cataluyna club reportedly agreed to a €45million plus € 5 million add-ons for Lewandowski. He is expected to sign a three-year deal which will keep him at the club until the summer of 2025. The striker’s goalscoring record led him to be named as ‘The Best’ on two occasions, picking up the award in 2020 and 2021.
The 34-year-old is Barcelona's fourth signing of this transfer window, which includes Franck Kessie, and Andreas Christensen who were both free agents and Raphina from Leeds United.
