La Liga side, FC Barcelona have completed the signing of Andreas Christensen ahead of the new season on a free transfer.

The Danish defender is Barcelona's second signing of the season after Franck Yannick Kessie was made on the official website of the club on Monday, July 4th, 2022. According to reports from the club, Christensen signed a new contract that will keep him at Barcelona until 2026.
The centre-back spent 10 years at Chelsea Football Club and was part of the Stamford Bridge team that won the UEFA Champions League against Manchester City during the 2020/21 season. He also won the league titles in England and also won the domestic cup with the Blues.
However, he decided not to renew his contract with the Premier League club which made him a free agent at the end of last season. Barcelona have placed the buy-out clause of Christensen at £500,000, he will be unveiled to the supporters on Thursday, July 7th, 2022.
