Arsenal release an official statement on Kai Havertz's injury

Arsenal has released an official statement following the recent injury rumours surrounding their leading frontman Kai Havertz.

After days of speculations on the current injury status of Arsenal's forward, Kai Havertz following initial reports of the German international picking up an injury during the club's training in Dubai, an official report stating facts has been released by the Gunners.

It has been confirmed that Kai Havertz suffered a hamstring injury during a recent training session in Dubai. Medical assessments and specialist reviews have determined that the injury requires surgery, which is scheduled to take place in the coming days keeping him out till the end of the season.

Arsenal confirmed that Havertz will start his recovery and rehabilitation program after the surgery and it is expected to last through the pre-season preparations for the next season.

The statement read, "We can confirm that Kai Havertz has sustained a hamstring injury during a training session in Dubai last week. Subsequent assessments and specialist reviews have confirmed that the injury will require surgery, which will take place in the coming days. Soon after surgery, Kai will begin his recovery and rehabilitation programme, which is expected to extend into pre-season preparations for next season."

Who will replace Kai Havertz at Arsenal?

According to reports, Arsenal is not considering any option of a possible replacement for now in the transfer window as Arteta is believed to be of the opinion that the club can find a solution within the club as other players such as Martinelli and Saka as well as Gabriel Jesus work their way back to match fitness.

It remains to be seen if this would be a viable solution.
