Arsenal's midfielder, Gabriel Martinelli, sustained a minor injury while with the Brazilian national team ahead of the 2024 Copa America, which will be held in the United States of America.

The midfielder suffered the injury after he collided with Real Madrid's Eder Militao on the training pitch on Thursday, June 20, 2024. The team was training ahead of their opening Copa America group stage match against Costa Rica on Tuesday, June 25, 2024.

The supporters of the Brazilian national team will be concerned by how Martinelli stayed on the floor after the collision and how he was forced off the pitch by the medical team. The medics first rushed onto the training pitch, Martinelli got back to his feet and limped behind the goalpost after he was seen in pain.

Militao appeared to show no remorse after the incident, initially pulling Martinelli's arm as if to tell him to get up before walking away and leaving him with Arsenal team-mate Gabriel Magalhaes.

Both Martinelli and Militao were benched for Brazil's final warm-up game against the USA ahead of the Copa America, with the Arsenal player coming on as a substitute during the 1-1 draw.
