The Italian was speaking at a press conference ahead of his team's third league game of the season against Wolves. Conte and Thomas Tuchel were involved in an argument after the game between Chelsea and Spurs at Stamford Bridge on Sunday, August 14th, 2022.
Conte believes the decision which was taken by the Football Association on Monday, August 15th, 2022 was slightly unnecessary. However, he said he and Tuchel will have to accept the charges that have been issued to them.
'I see that the FA made us, both coaches, more soft charge, no? And we have to accept. We have to accept and have respect for every decision. But I think sometimes this type of situation can happen. It's not the first time, it won't be the last time that two coaches are not in the right way or do not agree. But the most important thing is we have to move on, to have respect for each other. And for me, the situation finishes there.
Conte and Tuchel will not be on the touchline when Spurs and the Blues face Wolves and Leeds United respectively.
