The English FA announced that the games which were scheduled for match day 7 were called off because of the death of Queen Elizabeth II. The Premier League body will be meeting with the British Police to discuss the possibility of postponing the games which include; Chelsea vs Liverpool and Leeds United vs Manchester United.

The reports from England show that the number of Police needed to be at the burial arrangement of the Queen might affect the number of officers that will be needed for Premier League games. A spokesman of the National Police Chiefs Council confirmed that they will be meeting with the Premier League clubs to discuss this weekend's games.

We will work with football clubs to try and ensure that, where possible, football fixtures can take place safely when balanced against the requirement to support national events and deliver day-to-day policing. This is a unique situation and we are working closely with everyone involved.

The Champions League game which involves Premier League clubs will not be affected.
