The Super Eagles were coming into the game against Sudan with confidence coming from the opening game against Egypt at the ongoing African Cup of Nations.
Nigeria needed maximum points to confirm a spot in the next round of the competition. They did not leave the fans of the Super Eagles disappointed after the game, as it ended in favor of the West African giants.
