AFCON 2023: Nigerians receive good news on Stanley Nwabali's fitness

Nigerians received the much-anticipated news ahead of the quarter-final clash against Angola at the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations hosted in Cote d'Ivoire.

There have been concerns that the Super Eagles will be without its first-choice goalkeeper at the competition, Stanley Nwabali when they face Angola on Friday, February 2, 2024.

The Chippa United goalkeeper was substituted towards the end of the round of 16 clash against Cameroon which was played on Saturday, January 27, 2024. There have been different reports that he ruptured his ACL after he collided with a Cameroonian player.

However, the latest news from the Super Eagles camp is that Nwabali should be available for selection when Nigeria face Angola for a spot in the semi-finals.
