The Super Eagles have landed in Garoua, Cameroon ahead of the African Cup of Nations (AFCON) which starts on Sunday, January 9th, 2022.
The Nigerian team will hope to win the competition for the fourth time when they begin their campaign against Egypt on Tuesday, January 11th, 2022. There have been a lot of worry for Nigerians following notable absentees from the team.
The Super Eagles will be without attacking players like, Victor Osimhen who tested positive for COVID-19, Watford's in form striker, Emmanuel Dennis. The team might also be without Odion Ighalo who is facing problems getting permission from his club to represent Nigeria.
Nigeria will also face Sudan and Guinea-Bissau on January 15th and 19th, 2022 respectively.
