The Terenga Lions of Senegal have qualified for the semi-finals of the ongoing African Cup of Nations hosted in Cameroon.

Senegal beat their opponent, Equatorial Guinea in the last quarter-final game played on Sunday, January 30th, 2022. The Terenga Lions opened the scoring in the 28th minute of the game through the boots of Famara Diedhiou.
Equatorial Guinea came back into the game when they equalsed Jannick Buyla in the 57th minute but the hopes of getting back into the game was squashed when Senegal scored two quick goals from Cheikhou Kouyate and Ismiala Sarr in the 68th and 78th minute.
Senegal will play Burkina Faso in the Semi final of the competition.
