The game between Arsenal and Manchester City is one of the most talked about fixture heading into this weekend's round of games before the international break.

The Gunners came into the game without Bukayo Saka who missed out on the game due to an injury. This is the first time in 88 consecutive matches that the England International was not available for selection.

Manchester City were also without Rodri who was serving a three-match ban after he picked up a straight red card for violent conduct in the last league game against Bournemouth.

Here are the five talking points from the game;

(1) Rico Lewis:

The 18-year-old received loads of praise from his manager when Manchester City played Leipzig in the UEFA Champions League. He was impressive against Arsenal in his second league start of the Cityzens.

Lewis was able to hold his ground against Arsenal's midfield duo of Jorginho and Declan Rice.

(2) Matteo Kovacic:

The former Chelsea player could have gotten himself sent off in the first half of the game after he made a rash tackle on Declan Rice. He was initially booked some seconds earlier when he fouled Martin Odegaard but he was not issued a second yellow card which would have seen the Croatian sent off.

(3) Eddie Nketiah:

The England International failed to leave an impression in the game as he found it difficult to break the Manchester City defence whenever he had the ball in the final third of the Cityzens.

(4) Premier League Spot:

Arsenal continued their unbeaten run in the Premier League by beating the treble-winners courtesy of a deflection off Nathan Ake. The Gunners are joint top leaders with their fellow North London rivals, Tottenham with 20 points, this is a moment that every Arsenal supporter around the world will enjoy as they go into the International break.

(5) Arsenal:

The Gunners are one year better in experience following how they have improved from last season. This is the first time Arsenal will beat Manchester City in 13 attempts in the league for the first time since 2015.
