Following the impressive heroics of Team Nigeria at the recently concluded African Games, the full breakdown of how much the athletes will receive has been revealed.

Nigeria finished in second place at the 13th edition of the African Games which took place in Ghana in March 2024 with a total of 120 medals. The athletes as well as footballers who represented Nigeria at the tournament were commended for their efforts at the African Games and were also promised huge cash rewards by the Ministry of Sports and Tourism headed by Senator John Enoh.

The sports minister’s aide Diana-Mary Nsan revealed this in a statement which read, “Today the 22nd of March, the athletes started receiving their camp allowances. A lot of athletes had doubts and fears but the trust and confidence has been restored. Athletes who won medals will also get their bonuses. Find attached bonuses for individual, doubles and team sports medal winners.”
