Olamide drops 'Burukutu' ahead of 13th album

YBNL head honcho Olamide has released a new single, Burukutu, with a TG Omori-directed music video. He also used the drop to announce his next album, Time & Space, which is due on November 16, 2026. The project is his 13th studio album and follows his self-titled Olamidé, released last year.

Burukutu is playfully named after the traditional fermented grain drink found across parts of Nigeria and leans into street-level celebration. It opens with a party chant, and Olamide pairs sharp Yoruba flows with rhythmic cadences, reflecting on hustle, leisure and local vibes over energetic production provided by Blaisebeatz.

The video cuts between two settings. One is a glowing red corridor where Olamide appears in a double-breasted suit, dark sunglasses and dreadlocks. The other is an earthen-toned courtyard with background dancers in structured white outfits, pillbox hats and pearl details. Olamide also picks up a saxophone in several scenes, performing alongside brass musicians.

The surprise release keeps the YBNL Nation boss in the conversation ahead of his next full project. However, no tracklist for Time & Space has been announced yet. For the mean time, Burukutu is your will do just fine.
