Yesterday I got a surprising call from Danny Young; a well-known "Naija Dancehall" artiste. He's not a new face here on notjustOk.com or on the streets. To cut the long story short, I was told that Terry G's latest single "Jah Hailo" was originally a Terry G/Danny Young collaboration. From what Danny told me, he sent the data of his song to Terry G a while back but never heard much from Terry G afterwards.
As soon as notjustOk.com premiered "Jah Hailo" a few days ago, his management noticed the similarity and decided to go ahead and alter his own version a bit, and then he quickly re-voiced it. "ELI Jah" is the product of this new change. If you notice, on the 2nd verse, Danny Young takes a few shots at Terry G without actually calling his name.
Now, as usual, notjustOk.com is not taking sides with any party. However, we'll let you guys be the judge. Controversy aside, this is a heavy tune! Listen and share your thoughts.
