Wizkid has set a new record on the Billboard Charts as he solidified his position as the first and only African artist to achieve this feat.
Starboy Wizkid saw his album 'Made In Lagos' set an unmatched and unbeatable record on the Billboard World Albums Chart as he is the only African artist in history to spend a total of 100 weeks on the chart.
'Made In Lagos' had peaked at the number one position on the chart but currently holds the number 11 position on the chart as of Monday, October 10, 2022.
Other Nigerian albums such as Asake's 'Mr. Money With The Vibe' holds the number 5 position after spending a total of 5 weeks on the Billboard World Albums chart and peaking at number 2. Burna Boy holds the number 4 position with his album 'Love Damini' which peaked at number 2 and has also spent a total of 14 weeks on the Billboard World Albums Chart. Rema's 'Rave & Roses' holds the number 7 position on the chart which is its peak position after spending a total of 10 weeks on the Chart.
Big Wiz still holds the record of the African artist that has spent the longest number of weeks on the chart but 100 weeks is definitely a milestone worth celebrating as we prepare for his album 'More Love Less Ego.'
