Tanzanian artist, Diamond Platnumz continues to solidify his dominance on Africa's YouTube scene, achieving a remarkable new milestone in subscribers.

The Bongo Flava sensation, who first emerged in 2010 with the hit Kamwambie, has now set a fresh record for Sub-Saharan Africa on YouTube.

Recently, Platnumz hit an impressive milestone of 8 million subscribers on YouTube, a feat that distinguishes him as the first Sub-Saharan African artist to attain such a significant following on the platform.

Notably, his protégé Rayvanny and Nigeria's Burna Boy trail closely, with the latter recently surpassing Diamond Platnumz as the most-watched Sub-Saharan African artist on YouTube.

Within the top 10 list of the region's most subscribed artists on YouTube, Tanzanian talents like Harmonize and WCB's Zuchu also secure their places, with Zuchu being the sole female artist in this esteemed lineup.
