Owuor Arunga Back in Kenya / Drops New Music


The celebrated Kenyan artiste, Owuor Arunga, is a jazz trumpeter, music producer, composer and music director. Renowned for his role as Macklemore's trumpeter and occasional music director, Owuor has quite a number of achievements up his sleeve.

He has recently returned to Kenya to visit family and get some work done. He is said to be planning a collaborative Nairobi concert soon and has been spotted doing studio sessions with a few friends in music like Blinky Bill, who he has collaborated with before in the JAB song: "Winning in Life".

Born in Kenya, Owuor moved to New York in the early 2000s, where he studied in The New School's Jazz and Contemporary Music Program. You can also check out his other recent song "Requiem For Black NO.1". The song features Aliyah Niambi and Chris Turner.
