On August 4th the first installment of the Uganda Music Awards was held down at Serena Hotel which saw Eddy Kenzo as the big winner of the night as he scooped more than 3 Awards. The award winners weren't what the public expected/predicted however in the end Uganda music/talent was celebrated

Best Music Video – Wantengula (Abaasa)

Best Producer – The Weezy

Humanitarian Award – Angela Katatumba

Best Urban Artiste – Eddy Kenzo

Best Dance Group – H2C

Best HipHop artiste – Byg Ben

Best Reggae – Bruno K (One For The Road)

Best Artiste Western Region – Kigambo Araali

Best Artiste Central Region – Ceaserous

Best Artiste Eastern Uganda – Isaiah Destiny.

Gospel Artiste of the Year – Brian Lubega
