It's time to update your playlist with new East African songs featuring Diamond Platnumz, Nedy Music, Eddy Kenzo and so much more.

Now that we're super close to being done with this week, it seems like a good time to diversify your music library by updating your music playlist with songs from East African countries that are Kenya, Uganda, and Tanzania. 

Since the East African music space is so inclusive and variegated we decided to prepare new tracks from East Africa that should be on your playlist.

Tumerogwa - Ney Wa Mitego 

You don't have to be a hip-hop fan to enjoy Nay Wa Mitego's latest political thriller "Tumerogwa" which is a Swahili word for "Bewitched". 

In this new East African song, the Tanzanian rapper is awed by the hypocrisy and political double standards that most Tanzanians hold when it comes to politics and important national agendas, and within the song the controversial rapper mentions and pays attributes to the late Tanzanian President, John Pombe Magufuli.

Pepetua - Nedy Music. 

After turning the tables with his fire collaboration with Christian Bella, Nedy Music is back again with a danceable tune named "Pepetua" which simply means "Dancing" in Kiswahili. 

"Pepetua" is a club banger and in it the former Poz Ko Poz signee breaks down on how he is so addicted to "night life" lifestyle of partying and going to club while showering endless kudos to her girl who he loves so much. 

Wasiwasi - King Kaka

The Kenyan rap genius King Kaka is back again with "Wasiwasi" a Bern Mziki produced track that uses guitar samples and code-switched catchy lyrics to complete its perfection. 

In this track King Kaka is not shy to tell the world how much her woman is beautiful and adorable and continues to explain less worried and troubled with different things in life. 

Nkoro Ndito - Akothee

In this smash hit, Akothee brings language diversity and breaks tribal bridges in Kenya and you will surely be surprised and impressed by how Akothee is flawless in Kimeru which is a vernacular language in Kenya. 

In this song Akothee explains the journey and challenges of being a single parent and from the beginning of the song Akothee declares herself as "The President Of Single Mothers".

Gimme Love - Matt B ft Eddy Kenzo 

Another new East African song is "Gimmie Love" from Uganda. In this song Matt B, a Chicago-bred Grammy contender taps Uganda's finest Eddy Kenzo in creating this incredible hit song . 

The certified hit song is accompanied by a colorful and African-themed music video which eventually adds spice to the whole project.
