Official reports now confirm that the Super Eagles of Nigeria goalkeeper Stanley Nwabali will be leaving Chippa United before the start of a new season.

Reports indicate that Nigerian goalkeeper Nwabali is set to face a new challenge with another team, having proven his worth at national and club levels.

Chippa United's goalkeeping coach, Sean Louw, confirmed that Stanley Nwabali won't be Chippa United's number one next season.

Sean Louw stated, “On physical hard copy paper, I don’t know how many offers he has received, but verbally, he has around 10 or even 12 offers. He is definitely not coming back to Chippa next season.”

“When [Nwabali] arrived at Chippa, he wasn’t very proficient with his footwork and was unable to play from the back. However, he has significantly improved his footwork.”

Nwabali played a key role in helping Nigeria reach the finals of the Africa Cup of Nations, where they narrowly lost to Ivory Coast. He also played a crucial role in Chippa's run to the semifinals of the Nedbank Cup, where they were defeated by Orlando Pirates.

Throughout all competitions, he kept a total of 12 clean sheets. With his exceptional performance and dedication, a bigger club will likely sign him.

Nwabali has expressed no specific preference for his next move but would like to remain in the Premier Soccer League. Kaizer Chiefs have however shown significant interest in signing him to strengthen their goalkeeping department.

It remains to be seen the next step or line of action for the Super Eagles of Nigeria goalkeeper but with his current form, the interests of top club sides across different leagues have not diminished in any way.

Stanley Nwabali who recently celebrated his birthday, has also not said anything in particular pertaining to his future at Chippa United or any other club in recent interviews.
