Cole Palmer equals Eden Hazard's record at Chelsea

Cole Palmer has continued to show why he is the best thing to happen to Chelsea Football Club since he joined the club during the 2023 summer transfer window.

The English midfielder destroyed Everton in the first half of the game on Monday, April 15, 2024. He became the first Chelsea player to score in seven consecutive Premier League games at Stamford Bridge and the first Chelsea player to score two hat-tricks in a season.

The 21-year-old has scored as many Premier League hat-tricks in his last two home games as Eden Hazard, Paul Scholes, Steven Gerrard, Sadio Mané, Riyad Mahrez, Gareth Bale and Alexis Sánchez managed in their entire Premier League careers. Palmer (21y 345d) became the fifth youngest player to score 4+ goals in a single Premier League game and the first Chelsea player to net 4+ times in a single league match since Frank Lampard against Aston Villa in March 2010.

He is also the first Chelsea player to score 20 goals across all competitions since Eden Hazard in 2018/19, and the first to do it in his debut season for the club since Diego Costa.
