Renowned Nigerian gospel music producer, Dr Roy David, has brought clarity to recent viral revelations, specifying that his emotional ordeal was with Mr Eezee Tee, the owner of EeZee Concept, and not with Mercy Chinwo, as initially assumed.

During an interview with Nedu Wazobia on the Honest Bunch podcast that surfaced online on Sunday, April 21, 2024, Dr Roy shared poignant experiences about his time working within the gospel music industry. Contrary to earlier speculation, Dr Roy clarified on his social media platforms that it was Mr Eezee Tee, whose real name is Ezekiel ThankGod and not Mercy Chinwo, who he referred to in the viral interview snippets.

Dr Roy highlighted the challenges he faced during his tenure at EeZee Concept, including instances where he sought support during personal crises, such as his father's illness. While initial comments suggested he had been turned away by a former associate, Dr Roy clarified that it was Mr Eezee Tee's response that he found disappointing.

In his clarification, Dr Roy expressed gratitude towards Mercy Chinwo for her support during his family's trying times, including her assistance when his father fell ill. He emphasized the positive relationship he shares with the gospel singer and credited her for standing by him during hardships.

The clarification comes amidst recent controversies surrounding Mercy Chinwo, notably involving her and her husband's engagement in a public DNA dispute on social media.

Dr Roy's candid disclosure and subsequent clarification have sparked a renewed conversation about transparency and communication within Nigeria's gospel music industry, highlighting the importance of accurate representation in media narratives.
