Afrobeat Star Seyi Vibez reveals his big dreams at 13
Nigerian artist Seyi Vibez, as part of Vibez Inc's press tour, shared a sad story from his early music journey.
During an interview on Wazobia FM's morning show, Vibez revealed his ambition to join Wizkid's record label, Starboi Entertainment, at the young age of 13.
Fueled by his passion for music and admiration for Wizkid's success, a young Vibez took to the internet in search of a way to connect with the Starboy. Unfortunately, as Vibez himself recounted, his eagerness led him down a path of deception. He fell victim to a scam, paying 10,000 Naira (roughly $23 USD at the current exchange rate) for a fake "sign-up form" supposedly affiliated with Wizkid's label.
This experience, though unfortunate, highlights Vibez's determination to pursue his musical aspirations. It's a testament to the drive that has propelled him to become a rising star in the Nigerian music scene.
