Does Wizkid Have a Website?

While watching Osagie's #factsOnly most recent episode "Is Social Media Killing or Helping Nigerian Artistes?" he asked a question "Does Wizkid Have a Website" and my answer was "Ofcourse he has a website"... then I went searching.

Osagie was right, Wizkid doesn't have a website. However, he does have a very strong social media presence on Twitter (1.4m users), Facebook (1m users) followers) and Instagram (528k followers). Another page you can get more information on Wizkid is on the Disturbing London management site...

We have to remember that Wizkid just left E.M.E and is building his new StarBoy Records label, so him not having a website may not be his fault... and it looks like he is working on the new StarboyRecords website so expect it out soon...

All artists should watch this video below and start figuring out a solid strategy for their social media pages. Rule #1 - Get a Website

Nigerian artistes lack creativity, 100% i agree(Facts only)... U see them, releasing press statement over instagram, seeking unneccessary validation from strangers... They shud suck it up and do the needful. I dont know about any other person but for me, i care less about ur personal life, all im interested… Read more »

"Social media is meant to enhance your career not propel or start it" <-----Twitter rappers/singers take note. Y'all think getting your hashtags to trend means people are actually anticipating it, take down some notes. This guy knows his stuff.

Sorry, this is 2015 and websites are irrelevant to both enhancing and propelling a career. That's why most people didn't even notice wizkid has no website. Things like Youtube, Twitter, Facebook and instagram are push-based media. i.e. they send you updates. Concert coming soon? a new video is out? Well, your phone gets a buzz. A website is pull-based. you have to go out and seek information. In today's world, who has that time to frequently check on an artist's webpage for info?

So a big artiste like Wizkid or any other A list artiste don't need to have a website right? Where are you from tho ? If you ever Google a website in your life to get information about an individual or an organisation then you are just an hypocrite. Twitter, Facebook, YouTube and Instagram can NEVER replace official source of getting information like a reputable website. Bless Fam.

cuhmon websites are irrelevant and we all know it! why should i go to your website when i can get more content directly by following you on twitter, instagram or facebook...nobody goes to websites even when there were no social media people rarely visited artiste websites cause its just boring they get stuff from normal music and gossip sites cause its much more intresting there...mavin has a website yes but cuhmon if you want to know anything about don jazzy u'd probably go on donjazzy's instagram or come to notjustok search box and type don jazzy or even google

What information? Upcoming concerts? Facebook. current location? Twitter & instagram. Work In Progress? Any of the above. There is a lot of overheard required in running a website even for a big artist versus a facebook page. Or you want to know a BIG artist life history? Wikipedia is there for you.
Twitter, Facebook, YouTube and Instagram ARE official sources of information. So official in that they are usually run directly by the artist themselves or their media teams. That is where the fan look. Some of you just sound like you sell website design and maintenance.
