VIDEO: Samini - Body Flame ft Kaakie

Samini became a topic of discussion among Nigerian music listeners when he dropped that infamous P-Square/Alingo diss track in which he claimed P-Square stole their Alingo dance step from the very popular Ghanaian "Azonto". He had earlier made an appearance here on notjustOk.com with "Time-bomb featuring Wizkid", one of the major exponents of the Azonto wave in Nigeria.

Here's Samini's new video "Body Flame" featuring Dancehall sensation, Kaakie.

No love for Samini for being so stupid to jump on the Ghanaian bandwagon of na we get "Azonto" and no other person should dance am. For Samini to take it as far as dissing Psquare and even releasing an entire song in which he ridicules the twins latest effort shows how insecure he and his fellow Ghanaian are. For all the hate Naija gets from Ghanaians and other Africans, don't they wonder why we keep going stronger and stronger and dusting them in everything we do - movies, music, business, looks, just name it? I like Ghanaians but you… Read more »

Well, I would like to remind you that Naija have never said shit about Ghanain musicians let alone trying to bring down the career of other musicians. What was Samini's objective? Make the song massive so that people would stop listening to Psquare and by proxy other Nigerian acts, while he smiles to the bank? After dissing Psquare, which other Nigerian act is he going to pick on since that is what puts food on his table. Sorry, I used to listen to Samini and actually liked the dude-had 1 of his songs which I won't mention in my ipod… Read more »

You are overeating.. Samini diss was directed at PSquare and not Nigeria . If you are a PSquare fan and feel offended by it fair enough , but bringing Ghana/Nigeria in is just stupid. Africans are just stupid.. all we see is our country / tribe etc. forgetting we are the same people. Anyways, have you seen him make a diss track against Wizkid or the other Nigerian artists who made Azonto themed songs? Samini's point was, PSquare ripped off Azonto , portraying it as something original. (plagiarism) Its just like ripping off reggae or dance hall , call it… Read more »

Samini's diss was directed at PSquare and not Nigeria . If you are a PSquare fan and feel offended by it fair enough , but bringing Ghana/Nigeria in doesn't make sense. Mind you a few Nigerian artist including Wizkid have done Azonto themed songs but haven't been dissed by Samini or any Ghanaian artist for that matter . Will it have been okay if the diss came from a a Nigerian musician ?

That said , as a Ghanaian , I thought the diss track was not necessary

I think Nigerians are the most open Africans. Anybody can come from any part of Africa to Naija and be whoever they want to be. Our movie and music industry has everyone from anywhere. If you can do it, we will certainly give you a chance and take you as our own and even pay you higher than fellow Nigerians- now that is dumb!, but other Africans say shit every time they see us. Me, I dey call am jealousy. They all should learn from us.

I don't know whether NJO is tryna be professional or they are just collecting money from every Tom, Dick and Harry in order to feature them here. Samini is irrelevant to the Nigerian (and by extension the African) music scene. P Square didn't steal Azonto. They didn't have to. P Square as a brand is bigger than the entire Azonto community. There are more P Square hit songs than there are Azonto hit songs. Samini is just envious and hating on those guys. Nigerians should not encourage misfits like Samini pouring aspersions on the names of artistes we nurtured from… Read more »

It is preposterous that this Samini guy decided to pour aspersion on the name P Square. It pains me as a Nigerian because we have thrown our full weights behind our artists for them to get to where they are today. So when misfits like Samini decide to attack these icons, I feel offended as a Nigerian. For the umpteenth time, P Square didn't steal Azonto. They never intended to take the shine off Azonto. Why? Because P Square as a brand is bigger than Azonto. There are more P-Square hit songs than there are Azonto hit songs (Apart from… Read more »

honestly i don't feel like wasting text on this topic as u might have noticed from my unusually short comment earlier but its quite evident that you lot show an amoral and despicable level of contempt as a collective towards all things Nigerian. You don't have to come here and defend the indefensible....just take time out and sit with a few GH peeps as a silent witness when an ANAGO topic comes up and experience the naked conceit firsthand. It will be a shocking revelation for you considering Nigerians contribute something in the region of 60% to Ghana's annual GDP… Read more »

Its amazing how you are twisting around the whole argument without answering any of the questions I raised

1. Has any other Nigerian artist been attacked for making Azonto song?
2. Will it have been ok if the track was made by a Nigerian artist ?

If you are truthful to yourself and you answer those questions, you''ll know that this track has nothing to do with Nigeria but only PSquare.

...yeah with hefty per head tax, sales restrictions on movies and outright boycots, corporation tax, $2,000 hotel deposit at port of entry and a cut-throat local content policy not to mention work permits and Aliens registration. Chalee adɛn? Its surprising with all this taxation and VAT, kotoka management cant find a paltry $2mill to pay G-MET to avoid shutting down the international airport.

What i have realize is that Nigerians just envy Ghana. That all. In Ghana we appreciate good things that's why we accommodate all genre of music from different countries. As little as the country is we still make our name. Ask P-Square themselves if they will tell you the gospel truth. They did copy the Azonto. And is not only P-Square most these Nigerian musicians are now dancing azonto in the music videos. I know they are following the adage if can't beat them you join them. AZONTO FOR LIFE.
