Karim Benzema stole the headline at the Santiago Bernabeau in the second leg of the UEFA Champions League against Paris Saint Germain.

Real Madrid came into the second leg trailing the Ligue 1 side by a goal which was scored by Kylian Mbappe at the Parc de Princes. The first half of the second leg was dominated by PSG which saw Mbappe score the fist goal of the game.

(1) Benzema is the oldest person to score a Champions League hat-trick, he achieved this at the age of 34 years and 80 days behind Olivier Giroud (34 years, 63 days) and Cristiano Ronaldo ( 34 years, 35 days)

(2) The goals scored by the French striker has taken him to the third-highest goalscorer in the history of Real Madrid behind Cristiano Ronaldo and Raul Gonzalez.

Real Madrid are through to the next round of the competition and will await the draw before knowing their quater-final opposition.
