UGO hits the Afrobeat music scene with his first single tagged ‘Surugede’
UGO, a Lagos and Berlin based Nigerian Afrobeat singer and songwriter, hits the Afrobeat spotlight on July 19th with a brand new song and video titled “Surugede” featuring Rapturous.
“Surugede” is the first release in a series of Afrobeat singles UGO will release in 2019 via record label, Unclesnoop Entertainment. The song features Rapturous who is a Nigerian Igbo native rapper and singer. It is about standing your ground no matter what happens; if you fall, get up.
The song was recorded in Berlin and produced in Nigeria by Otyno, the video was shot and produced in Berlin. UGO’s music is a fusion of uplifting messages, catchy lyrics and beats that make you want to dance.
