Iconic Nigerian singer and songwriter Ayodeji Ibrahim Balogun dropped Essence off his 'Made in Lagos" album and since its release, the song has been trending on a global scale. To push the movement much further, a remix featuring Canadian popstar Justin Bieber was released, which further cemented the song on the global scale.
