PREMIERE: Iyanya - Away (Prod. MasterKraft)

Happy New Year, everyone! The first BIG tune by an A-List Nigerian artiste has finally dropped, and as usual, we're bringing it to you guys first!

"AWAY" is the 2nd official single off Iyanya's currently untitled 3rd studio album tentatively scheduled to drop later in 2014.

Following in the footsteps of the hugely successful "Le Kwa Ukwu", this song has that continental vibe which gives it a very wide potential appeal.

I can easily see "AWAY" getting loads of airplay, not only in Nigeria and Ghana, but also in French-speaking African countries. Iyanya has surely bagged himself another money-maker with this one.

*O.O*

I have a theory: THE PRODUCER THAT PRODUCED YOUR BIGGEST HIT, WILL BE THE ONLY PRODUCER THAT WILL HELP YOU REPLICATE THAT... GO BACK TO D'TUNES ABEG!!!

However this is still a jam, and the song will blow no doubt, but that is one fact about music.. People underestimate the influence of an artist/producer relationship! Big ups to Masterkraft still

Iyanya has to be one of the most talented musicians we have in nigeria...his versatility on any track is just too amazing.. r 'n b normal commercial.. and now he's making music for africa as a whole... characteristics of someone that wants to last in the game.. i like the song.. i used to hate iyanya but now he's one of my best.. nice tune

If you listen to Banky's Jasi and this song, you'll notice similarities between the beats.
Meanwhile, is there any rule that states that once your producer leaves your label that you can't work with them anymore or is this some sort of ego issue? Tbh, I'd advice that he should go sort things out with D'Tunes if any, 'cos they had a good working relationship. I mean all his songs that were produced by D'tunes were hit songs, come on..

Lol, Listen carefully to the beat of Jasi and try to ignore the melodies, lyrics and all that stuff. Besides it is even the same guy who produced Jasi that produced this one too so...

*yawns* work hard people, work hard...only in Nigeria WILL AN ARTIST BE FLOATING IN MONEY AND WOULD NOT STILL PUT EFFORT INTO THEIR CRAFT, AT LEAST ADD MORE EFFORT SIR, a little effort wouldn't hurt no soul. I'M NOT EVEN ASKING FOR TOO MUCH, Just a lil effort..AHAN ! we are tired of this same'ol same'ol. Worst part is that niggas spend more time in doing photo-shoots for their singles than they do in the studio or do i say they spend more "productive" time doing photo-shoots than they do in the studio. Dear producers too, we are not deaf...we… Read more »

On a frank note. I played the song once, then had to stop it from playing a second time since Ovie has it (as usual) on autoplay. One thing I have always wondered about Iyanya is how did he rise to be an A-List singer in Nigeria when he clearly is the group of Nigerian musicians who you have to strain your ears to hear what they are singing. I always wonder; why do they have to mumble? Here is a list of Nigerian Singers,in no particular order, whose songs are always catchy and have made it mega maybe because… Read more »

folks from your comments am glad fans are beginning to look for more than just beats in a song...now real artist can start making good money.till date i still listen to tuface's and dbanj's first albums not because they are too good but because i can still hear every word they said and most of the content still applicable till date.even if some of their messages are love, money and brags.i hope for the best.
